Our Employee’s Top 5 Picks For Lunch Cuisine
Here at Pedestrian Shops we love to support our fellow local businesses on or around the Pearl St. Mall! One of the most fun ways we do this is by eating lunch at the restaurants near our shops. We have grown very fond of these restaurants; each of our employees even has a favorite! Check out our top 5 places for lunch and visit them yourself! Here is our line up, in no particular order:
1. Snarf’s Sandwiches
You can find this tasty sandwich shop close by. It is only a five-minute bike ride from our store in the Village. Many of our staff members love grabbing a Snarfs sandwich on their lunch breaks. Gus likes the hot dog sandwich with American cheese and bacon, who doesn’t love bacon!?! Tony likes the vegetarian sandwich containing, provologne, sprouts, and avocado Yum. Hey Snarfs! He even thinks it’s among the best veggie sandwiches in Boulder!

2. Fior di Latte
This summer Fior di Latte graced is with their wonderful presence and delicious gelato. It is just two doors down from our Pearl St. store. We are always surprised to see people eating gelato cones at 10am, but that is a typical sight in front of our store. Our staff loves to grab mid afternoon gelato pick me ups on busy days! They always have amazing flavors like strawberries with balsamic, tiramisu and earl grey. In addition to gelato, they also serve espresso drinks and fresh pastries. Fior di Late claims that they have the best chocolate croissant in town, we would have to agree!
3. Illegal Pete’s
If no one is in the store during any of the meal times, I would try finding us at Illegal Petes. This burrito shop is probably the most popular breakfast, lunch and dinner destination for our staff! Many of our employees have Illegal Petes for at least one meal a day, and it’s not uncommon for someone to have a breakfast burrito in the morning and another for lunch. Everything they serve is great! Tony, our general manager loves the vegetarian burrito with veggie green chili. Whitney, one of our long time employees, loves the taquitos. Beware, the servings are huge! If you are looking for a smaller serving, the kid’s size is perfect! This is also a common place for a staff to meet after work for a couple of post work day drinks.
4. T-ACO
This taco restaurant is just a couple blocks away from our Pearl St. store, and is a fun after work treat! We love this place because you order your tacos ala-cart, and get to try a handful of different flavors. Zoe, our operations manager, likes to go to T-Aco on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday! On Tuesday nights they have $2 tacos and great deals on margaritas. Zoe usually gets 1 braised pork belly taco, one grilled cotija cheese taco, and one grilled shrimp taco.
5. The Boulder Café
This restaurant is just up the mall a couple of blocks from our Pearl St. Store. Our staff loves this restaurant because of the broad menu and the fair prices. From 3pm until closing everyday they have a great happy hour, where all drinks and appetizers are half off. Chicken wings or artichoke spinach dip make for a great work lunch. When the weather is nice, they have an awesome outdoor patio, which is perfect for people watching on the Pearl St. Mall.
